9. How far can you stretch one chicken?
Remember my chicken experiment I told you about??
I wanted to see how many meals I could get from one chicken. I was able to make 4 dinners that had a total of 31 servings of food for only $32.24!!
That comes to $1.04 per adult-sized serving!! And I was also able to make ½ a gallon of rich, homemade broth for free!
Another great way to stretch your chicken is to add more veggies and other items to your main dish, making the meat just a supporting part rather than the feature of the dish. And you get the benefit of having more veggies in your food!
