How much can you charge on Fiverr?
Save time and money with my best-selling resources in Complete Change Your Finances Bundle.
One common misconception – many people think you can only charge $5 for your product on Fiverr. This used to be somewhat true.
When I started everyone was required to START their prices at $5, but most of them quickly went up from there.
Now prices can start at various levels, but everything is in increments of $5. And Fiverr does take a flat 20% cut of everything you earn, including tips.
Side note: There are still MANY items and services that are priced at only $5, which makes Fiverr a fabulous place to shop for products and services you may need.
Just last week, I got a 40-page Ebook proofread for only $10. And last Christmas, I purchased a $5 gig to have my son's name written in the Doctor Who language from the show because he's a big fan. Where else are you going to find crazy bargains like that? Browse Fiverr now.
FIVER’S PROFITABILITY AS A SIDE HUSTLE
A little background on my success with Fiverr. I’ve been with them for about two years. I’ve done more than 400 gigs with them ranging in price from $5 to $50 – average price about $20 per gig, including occasional tips.
Some gigs might take me 15 minutes to complete while others might take me several hours.
The one drawback to Fiverr is that you cannot easily control your work volume. The orders come when they come and you just have to figure it out as you go. And there are sometimes when the orders don’t come at all and you have to figure that out too.
There were many times when I would be sitting there at 1 in the morning cramming to meet my order deadlines – they are quite strict about deadlines and your rating drops if you miss too many.

I used to get a LOT of orders – maybe 8 to 10 orders per week, then for some mysterious reason my orders dropped off sharply last year. Now I only get a few orders per month.
My feedback rating is terrific – 4.9 out of 5 stars, so I haven’t been able to figure out what caused it or how to fix that drop in orders. I’ve been pretty busy with some other work, so I haven’t put much time into it. I do still think it’s a platform with tremendous potential as a side hustle.
