In order to have a remarkable budget, first, you need to have a reason for budgeting -your Why.
This is what motivates you to continue on those days when you feel like you are going three steps backwards for every step forward. Having a reason why you are budgeting that you keep front and center in your mind, helps immensely in keeping you motivated and consistent in budgeting.
Let’s just say, that right now your reason for budgeting is to pay off all your debt so you can take your kids on a really nice vacation. Now that you have that in mind, you know that every single dollar you are able to trim off of your budget will get added to pay off debt, allowing you to pay it off sooner.

However, if you don’t have a budget, often the end of the month will come and all the sudden you are scrambling to cover basic expenses, and certainly don’t have any extra money to put towards your debt repayment or vacation savings.
The power of telling your money where it should go each month and then sticking to your plan is incredible – you will be able to do so much more than you have ever dreamed of with your finances.

One of the best ways I found be consistent with budgeting is to set aside time daily, weekly, and monthly to work on my budget. This time allows me to either track my expenses or review that my spending is on the plan with my budget.
Set up a plan to work on your budget daily/weekly/monthly and it will be so much easier to manage! You won’t have a huge mess to work through which is stressful itself.
Here is my schedule to keep on track with my budget.
I'll show you what my budgeting schedule looks like on the next page...
