Save time and money with my best-selling resources in Complete Change Your Finances Bundle.
Now that you know how to get 5 months of hosting for free, let’s get started with the tutorial.
Starting a Word Press blog on Blue Host is really simple and easy to do!
I will show you step by step instructions on setting up your perfect blog in just 20 minutes and by using my link you will get a discount on the already cheap monthly costs, plus a free domain name for a year!!
It will be just $3.45 a month when you use my discount!
To begin you will need
- a domain name
- and your credit card information.
Step 1 Head to Blue Host
Go to the Blue Host home page and click the green Get Started Now button.Step 2: Enter in your domain
Is this a brand new website you are setting up? Then enter in your domain name into the box on the left.
Remember, you will get your new domain for free for a year when you sign up with Blue Host. You are saving money already!
**If you are going to transfer to Blue Host from another hosting company and you already have your domain, then enter it into the right box. There will be a few additional steps to get your hosting switched to Blue Host, but it will walk you through those steps.
Step 3: Fill in your information
Now you will enter in all your personal information as requested.
Step 4: Choose your hosting plan
This is where you will pick the length of your hosting period. You can choose 12, 24 or 36 months.
The 36 month price is the best deal, but if you are just wanting to see if your blog works out and want to stick with a 12 month plan that is just fine too!
If you are a little nervous about the commitment, Blue Host offers a 30 day 100% guaranteed refund policy if you aren’t happy with your service.
However, you are not locked into any contract length and you can cancel at any time if you need. If you cancel before your plan is up, you will get a prorated refund and there are no fees or penalties for cancelling.
I do recommend purchasing the Domain WHOIS Privacy add-on as it will keep your personal information private on WHOIS.
WHOIS is an online searchable database of domains and who owns them.
The rest of the add-on’s aren’t really necessary, but you can add them if you would like. Proceed to check out with your order.
Step 5: Installing Word Press
Yay! You are almost there. Now it’s time to install your Word Press site onto Blue Host.
You will go into Blue Host, click the Hosting Tab, then the CPanel Tab. Scroll down to the orange button that says Install Word Press and click it.
This is the part where Blue Host takes over and sets it up for you!
Pick your domain name from the drop down menu and click the green button.
Step 6: Final step- setting up admin and password
Open up the advanced options and fill in your admin name and password. It’s best if you use a different name than just ADMIN and make sure to pick a really strong password.
When you are finished, click the green Install button.
Congratulations!! You just set up your blog!! Sit back and relax while it finishes installing.
