5. Give yourself time to be still
Save time and money with my best-selling resources in Complete Change Your Finances Bundle.
Whether it’s sitting outside, or taking a nap, being still and letting the peace of the moment center you, will do wonders for calming your frantic thoughts.
Breathe. Notice what’s around you. Be present.
At first, being still was difficult. I’m always doing something. But now, I crave those times of being still and my spirit is so refreshed as a result!
6. Reconnect
Spend time reconnecting with God, family, and friends.
Quality, positive relationships in your life bring refreshment and joy. You need those relationships, now more than ever!
My faith has grown tremendously from intentionally seeking God over the last few months.
And I’m able to enjoy family and friends again, with laughter in my heart, without being overwhelmed or worrying if I will make it to work on time.
7. Remove unrealistic expectations
Get rid of the unrealistic expectations you have of yourself. Stop pushing yourself to do just one more thing and allow yourself to rest when you are tired.
Other’s expectations aren’t always healthy. If they aren’t good for you, then get rid of those too!
Stay in the precious spot where you are so loved and treasured simply based on who you are and God’s love for you, not for what you do or don’t do.
Removing unrealistic expectations from my life has eliminated a lot of fear and guilt in trying to please people when God is already so pleased with me just as I am.
Take time to rest
In the last 6 months, I have hustled much less and the feeling of being overwhelmed with stressed has all but vanished.
I am much happier with who I am as a person due to taking care of myself and resting.
Yes, hustling can be a fabulous way to reach your money dream much faster, but when you are overwhelmed, stressed, and worried because of how much you are working, it’s time for a break from the hustle.
And if no one else will come along side you and tell you that you have done really well, but now it’s time to rest and take care of yourself, then let me be the one to say that to you.
Push pause on your hustle. Give yourself time to rest and enjoy life again.
And later, when you’re refreshed and renewed, you can always start hustling again.
You are worth it!!

Great encouragement! I’m so glad you’re resting and making time for yourself.
Charissa says
Taking care of yourself is important, and you can better take care of others when you are well taken care of yourself.
Michele says
This is wise advice. I am the queen of hustling, at the expense of my own well being. I had to learn to slow Dow, and I still struggle with it. No one else will tell you to let go, you have to give yourself permission.
Charissa says
Michele, it is a struggle to slow down. I do really well for a while, and then go back to filling my time. You’re right, you are the only one who will give you permission to slow down.
