Your debt is killing you, slowly and excruciatingly!! Get mad at the debt which hangs around your neck! Commit to paying off your debt as quickly as possible.
Quit overspending for something you have purchased in the past by paying so much more in interest. Get debt out of your life for good! The more fired up you are against your debt, the quicker you will be able to break free. You can do it!
14. Tell yourself no
Seriously, you don’t need to buy everything you want. It won’t make you happy anyways.
Start by telling yourself, ‘No, you can’t buy this’ to one thing every time you shop. Keep telling yourself no and it will become easier as you follow your own advice.
Plus, telling yourself no has the great effect of punching a hole into your overspending!!
15. Wait before buying
Want something? That is fine, but wait a day (or a week if it is a large purchase).
If you still want to make the purchase after waiting, you will be in a much better frame of mind to look at your budget and see if you can afford the purchase now or need to save up the money so you don’t overspend.
16. Tally up
Set an amount you want to spend beforehand going to the store.
While at the store, write down how much everything costs as you put it into your cart and tally it up before you check out. If you are over the amount you plan to spend, something has to go!
