The second powerful emotion you need to tap into to help pay off your debt fast is the feeling of making progress and seeing traction.
Save time and money with my best-selling resources in Complete Change Your Finances Bundle.
When you see how far you have come and that there is an end in sight, there is so much more hope and determination to completely pay off your debt. It is incredible just how much more progress you will make!
A great way to track your progress is to start a blog.
When you blog about your journey to pay off debt, you will find:
- a greater sense of urgency – you will start looking for extra money where ever you can so it can be reported on the next month’s progress report.
- you are actually making lots of progress – more than what you thought before you started tracking it!
- that there is an end in sight and all your debt will be cleared up – for good.
- encouragement on those days when you just feel despite all your efforts, you are taking a couple steps backwards instead. Seeing how far you have come will allow you to push though those hard times because you know you got this!
- motivation to work more or find another source of income to help shorten the time left in debt.
- how your story is actually inspiring others to become debt free and to pay off their debt quickly.
- blogging can be a great source of extra income.
Many people have shared their journey towards financial freedom on a blog with great results, so you would be joining an awesome community!
A couple of my friends actually started their blogs as a way to document their debt payoff – with the side benefit that blogging turned into a great source of income for them!
Now, that is a huge benefit!
Not only are you able to use your blog as a way to be accountable to actually pay off the debt as fast as you possibly can, but you can earn money doing it – which will help you pay off your debt even faster!!
Even though I had already paid off all my debt before I started blogging, I did document my journey of saving up cash for the last year of my husband’s education on my blog.
I was blown away by how much blogging helped me make incredible progress! See how on the next page.
