21. Change your habits
Save time and money with my best-selling resources in Complete Change Your Finances Bundle.
Are you shopping (in store or online) because you are tired or bored? Do something different at those times. Read a book, go for a walk, or call someone.
Change your environment so you can resist the urge to shop, when you don’t need to.
22. Reduce the ease of spending
Are your credit cards automatically entered into your favorite online stores as the preferred method of payment? Delete them and force yourself to enter them in each time you want to make a purchase.
Or, if you are going to a store, give yourself a time limit on how long you are allowed to stay in the store. Get your items and get out before you can spend any extra money!
23. Save for a large purchase
Do you have a big purchase in mind? Save up the money for a couple of months before you buy the item.
This makes you more conscientious about your purchase and you will quite possibly be able to save some money by taking advantage of a sale.
24. Become excited about savings
Start tracking your savings and see how a little money put aside each month can add up to big savings over time.
I tracked every dollar I was able to put into savings for a year, and was completely blown away to see that I was able to save over $19,000 in one year! There is nothing like watching your savings grow to remove the desire to overspend completely!!!
Do you still need help to quit overspending? Involve others to help!
